Having been listed in the Daily
Telegraph as one of the 10 best hotels in the British Isles, we think
that you'll be quite safe here (phew!). As the article was written by
the founding and long term Editor of the Good Hotel Guide, it's a pretty
copper-bottomed recommendation. In addition the Independent, Guardian
& Observer (quality UK daily papers) listed us as one of the Top
50 hotels in Britain & one of the Times' "6 of the best"
family friendly hotels. But don't think that we are all toffee-nosed,
stiff upper lip and penguin suited - no, we are genuinely relaxing and
fun but also very efficient.

| Recommended by Johansens since they started, we have been described as 'slightly potty' by Paddy Burt, a well known national reviewer, won numerous 'Loo of the Year' awards, been named as "Best Loos in Britain" by the Guardian (16/08/2006), enjoyed wine list plaudits from the Good Food Guide plus 'Family Friendly Award' from Which? Hotel Guide, Good Hotel Cesar Award for "utterly acceptable mild eccentricity" and the RAC Inspector described our staff as "the friendliest of any hotel in Great Britain". So yes, we're ok. |
